          Eddy, Ezra Butler (), manufacturer, was born near Bristol, Vermont, on August 22, , the son of Samuel Eddy and Clarissa Eastman.

          In he embarked on the manufacture of friction matches at Burlington, Vermont ; and in he removed to Hull, Canada East, where he built up one of the largest match factories in the world.

          Ezra Butler Eddy (August 22, – February 10, ) was a Canadian businessman and political figure.

        1. Born in Vermont, EB Eddy came to the Chaudière Falls in and began a small hand-operated match factory.
